A cluster randomised controlled trial of a manualised cognitive behavioural anger management intervention delivered by supervised lay therapists to people with intellectual disabilities

    This report finds that staff-delivered manualised cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) anger management intervention was effective at changing anger coping skills and staff-rated anger in people with intellectual disabilities. Manualised anger management CBT delivered by service staff given training and supervision from clinical psychologists could be used to increase anger coping skills.
